Pony's name: Blackjack Pony's age: Seventeen Type of pony or animal: Pegasus Pony's cutie mark and special talent: Three golden stars. He likes to fly at night, and knows his constellations. Employment: Long distance package delivery pony. Current city: Cloudsdale
Appearance: Except for the three white stars on his rump, every strand of fur on his body is black. His hooves are a contrasting beautiful pale gold, a color that can also be found in his irises. His mane and tale are medium length and simply kept; he brushed them once a day, but never bothers with any sort of extraneous styling.
His build is pretty typical. Strong but lithe, with a powerful pair of wings attached at the top of his shoulders. He has a rounder face than most, a trait passed down to him from his father's side of the family.
He wears a golden chest plate and matching golden circlet. They are both family heirlooms, passed to him from his mother's side of the family. Blackjack wears them all time, except when he's showering or sleeping.
Personality Rambunctious is a word to begin to describe him. Blackjack is loud, proud, and full of energy. He wants to race, to play, to tussle, to have a good time. Not to say he doesn't work hard - he does. However, Blackjack prefers the mindset that his work is fun, which is why he happily over exerts himself delivering packages.
He wants to impress everyone. Although he had a lot of ambition, it's a loosely defined ambition. There's no one particular thing Blackjack wants to do well in; he wants to excel at everything. A simple praise can make the black pony's day. In fact, the word needy would not be a bad way to describe just how much he wants everyone to be amazed by him.
Besides all that, Blackjack is friendly to those who likes. He's extra friendly to pretty mares and really enjoys the sport of flirting (as it's another thing he can try and excel in). Get on his bad side, though, and be prepared for a lot of children insults. To say he's mature would be to lie. From the way he speaks, with lots of youthful expression (LOL and foo', for example) to the way he handles frustrating situations (he cusses and storms out), this pony is still young at heart. He is growing up, gradually, and will one day probably be a good mature pony. But not yet.
If there's not another package ready to be delivered, and Blackjack is in the delivery mood, he can get quite antsy. He is not a patient pony. Even a twenty minute wait in a doctor's lounge can annoy him. First he starts pacing, then he starts complaining - loudly. It's gotten him in trouble a few times.
As far as redeeming qualities go, Blackjack is an excellent listener as long as he's not hyper. When he's spent all his energy but the day is not over yet, he'll find a nice calm place to relax and watch the sunset, or he'll go chill with a friend. Catch him at either time and you'll find him and excellent conversation buddy. There's a chunk of intelligence, often over shadowed by his own recklessness and immaturity, buried deep within him.
Background He was born in the middle of the night. What a surprise it was for his parents, a little pure black pony born into a family of golden ponies! Despite his color oddity, both his parents embraced him immediately. Well, for the most part. His father was always a little removed emotionally from him when he was growing up. When Blackjack was young, he just assumed father's simply doted a lot less than mothers.
Over the next few years, he flourished under his mother's love. His father was detached, but never cruel. His youth was wonderful time, with very few complications - other than the first few times he truly flew. At a young age, he had poor coordination and balance, which lead to quite a few nasty crashes. Luckily, Blackjack didn't manage to do any lasting damage during his first few flights.
One day, he awoke in the morning to the sound of screaming. At the young age of five, Blackjack was not quite sure what a paternity test was, but apparently it was a very, very bad thing. It took him a few years to truly understand what happened, and to understand that his father was not his father, despite having raised him. When he finally dared to ask his mother who his real father was, she had the gall to tell him it wasn't important. She tried to convince him that the golden pony whom had stormed out on the two of them was his father, for what it counted.
But he wasn't. The golden stallion, the match to his mother, was not his biological father. To this day, Blackjack does not truly know who his real father is, as his mother refused to talk about it. It's a touchy subject for him.
Now, while he knew that he was not really related to the golden stallion, part of him still wishes he was. He secretly wishes the golden stallion, Frederick, would love him like a son. That stallion had been the closest thing to a father he had ever had. Yet now when he happens to come across Frederick, the golden stallion acts like he doesn't know the black colt.
But despite that mess, the rest of Blackjack's life is good. He enjoys his job, flying packages here and there - he especially likes to try and beat his own times. He's also made many friends all over the place, being his job takes him all over the place. Father or not, Blackjack is never lonely. Not only that, he gets the chance to hit on beautiful fillies all over the place! What colt wouldn't enjoy that?
He got his cutie mark at the age of twelve. During that year, he had tried desperately to find his talent - like many ponies. It horribly frustrated him, but luckily he could calm himself by simply flying at night. There was something wonderful at the sky at night, dotted with a thousand little stars. At first, all it was was a beautiful back drop. From his grandfather, slowly Blackjack began to learn the names of the constellations.
His job traveling and delivering works well with his skill. Blackjack uses the constellations to navigate his way home, and thusly usually only travels home at night.
Anything else you'd like to add: Blackjack is a good flier, definitely above average. However, he's by no means Wonderbolt good, or even just typically great. Most of his skill comes from his near constant flying between places, rather than the innate skill that some pegasi are born with.

Hi! Your app looks really awesome, but I have some questions in the history. First, what's going on between the first and second paragraphs? Can you elaborate a bit? It's a really important event and I would really like it to be more clear. Second, you didn't really give an account of his life, just one event in it. It would be nice to read a bit more about it, and maybe add how he got his cutie mark?
Other than that, it looks awesome and I can't wait to read the finished app!
