Whiplash watched her leap and bound off of clouds, and as soon as she had surpassed his, he bounced off of his, did a little twirl in the air, and then bounced upwards off of two more.
"Pff, amateur," he teased, though he was still smiling, and he bounced to shake some rain out of the cloud and onto her head. "This is payback for that shock you gave me!"

Blizzard yelped as rain fell on her head and leapt up to his cloud to avoid the rest of the downpour. "Hey, it's your own fault that you got electrocuted! You could have just believed me and then there wouldn't have been any spontaneous lightning storms."
She trotted over to him and shook her mane and tail out so that drops of water splashed all over him.

Whiplash leapt to the other side of the cloud away from the water droplets.
"Hey, hey, watch the uniform!" He said, holding his hooves up for protection. "These things are crafted with magic."
He swizzled in the air to shake himself off and then flew back down and poked at her. "Look how high up we are."

"What, you've never gotten it wet before?" she asked, shaking off one last time before stilling. "I'm pretty sure they're just made of fabric." She poked him in the side to test his uniform. "Yep. Feels like fabric."
She batted at his hoof when he poked her. Just because she had poked him, didn't mean he could just return the gesture.
"Yeah," she said, shrugging. "So?"

"It's magic flying fabric. It makes us aerodynamic." He stretched out his limbs to show this.
Then he frowned at her lack of enthusiasm for their height. "It's nice. Pretty." He looked out over the landscape. Whiplash never got tired of being a pegasus pony.

"So you need the uniform to be able to fly?" she asked.
She sunk down into the cloud, folding her hooves over the edge and resting her head on them so that she could look down and then shrugged.
"Yeah, I guess." Blizzard wasn't usually a pony to admire the scenery, but she supposed that Whiplash had a point. "It's nicer up here than down there."

"Noooo, but they make us sleek so that the wind doesn't get caught in our coats. And they are super snazzy." He flexed and then winked.
"It's always nicer up here," he said, but then looked over. "It's even nicer today."

"If by 'super snazzy,' you mean 'super lame,' then I agree." She rolled her eyes.
She wasn't sure if he was complimenting her or if he was actually commenting on the niceness of the day, but with him dwelling on how awesome the clouds were, she started to feel a bit glum. As much as she liked living on the ground because it was convenient and nopony thought less of her for having no wings, she was still a Pegasus in her soul and she loved nothing more than being in the air and in the clouds.
"I'm bored," she said, though this was untrue. "I wanna go back to the ground."

"That might be an option," he said, "but you have to agree to go to lunch with me tomorrow."

She looked at him, expression blank because she couldn't decide whether to grin because she was flattered or frown because he sucked--and because she was feeling frowny in general.
"Why would I do that?" she asked, turning back away. "Then I'd have to see your stupid face again."

"Because," he said, "I won't bring you back down 'til you agree, Baby Bird." He winked.

She wrinkled her nose at the nickname, unappreciative of his efforts at flattery via pet names. Still, it was either see him again or stay in the clouds and that was just an illogical option to pick. Even more illogical was that she didn't think she'd actually mind seeing him again.
"Fine," she said. "But not in Cloudsdale."
